NASCAR driver Tony Stewart’s famous temper has struck again, this time on a dirt track in New York, just north of Watkins Glen, where Stewart was to race this weekend. Allegedly Stewart and fellow driver Kevin Ward (Age 20) were driving neck to neck when Kevin’s sprint car struck the barricade. Kevin got out of his car and walked to the track to challenge Tony Stewart as he blamed for the accident.
When Tony Stewart came back with his car on the next lap, his car side tracked and the rear tire hit Kevin. As some viewers suggested, Kevin actually got under the tire for a fraction of second and then flew away on the track lying motionless. Ward was taken to a local hospital and was listed in serious condition. However the Doctors have officially announced that Kevin arrived dead in hospital.
LATEST UPDATE: At this time, no criminal charges are pending against Tony Stewart, said the sheriff. “We have reviewed the investigation to this point with the Ontario County district attorney. At this very moment, there are no facts in hand that would substantiate or support a criminal charge, or indicate criminal intent on the part of any individual.” [Source - Washington Post]
