Nissan Micra 2013 – Nissan has launched the 2013 Micra facelift in India today, called simply the new Micra. The Japanese automaker has given the Micra quite a few changes both inside-out, which makes the vehicle look very appealing. On the exterior front, the new headlights, new grille and new bumper make the Micra very attractive, taking away the feminine side of the car.
On the sides, the Micra gets new alloy wheels/wheel caps and the rear now gets an add-on on the boot lid along with new LED tail lights and a new rear bumper. The above images show the old and new Nissan Micra parked together, which highlights the changes very well.
On the inside, the company has given the Micra new features along with making changes to the dashboard. The most prominent change is the new piano finished centre console.
Nissan is emphasising on the CVT model which they claim gives better economy than the manual version. The Xtronic CVT box is the best in class. The company claims the Micra has the highest headroom in its class and the vehicle comes loaded with features like rearview camera, ABS, EBD, BA, 4-airbags, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. The updated Micra is available in 6 colours (2 are new) namely blue, white, green, silver, black and red. Nissan says they have updated the Micra because of lifestyle changes and customers want a more macho looking vehicle.
Nissan is offering the new Micra facelift in 7 variants (3 petrol and 4 diesel). Nissan claims the Micra has the lowest total cost of ownership in its segment. The company is offering 25 accessories to enhance the look of the vehicle. The company has also launched the Micra Active, which sits below the new Micra in the company’s portfolio. The 2013 Nissan Micra returns an ARAI certified mileage of 18.44 km/l for the petrol manual, 19.34 km/l for the petrol CVT and and 23.08 km/l for the diesel version. NVH of the car has improved slightly.
