Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 2016 – Debuting before the Los Angeles auto show is yet another gem from the American auto maker. Rather than building a muscle car for the straight line dragsters, Ford is looking to create a real track contender with this beauty.
The Shelby GT350 is a well rounded vehicle, equipped with a 5.2-liter V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will pump out north of 500 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, with a much improved torque curve that will make the power much more usable on the road. Rather than build something reminiscent of the almighty GT500, Ford seems to be adopting a more track-ready, Boss 302 inspired model here.
The 2-door will be the first Ford to be outfitted with magnetic dampers, and will also feature massive Brembo brakes, an aluminum hood with widened fenders to accommodate those 19-inch wheels, along with both a rear diffuser and lip spoiler. More specific details will be rolled out as the Shelby GT350 makes its official debut at the L.A. Auto Show.
