Canadian F1 GP 2013 Wallpapers – The overriding feeling following Sunday’s race that we had just witnessed the most resounding victory of the season so far is certainly confirmed by the statistics, with Sebastian Vettel’s winning margin of 14.4 seconds four seconds larger than any other victorious advantage in 2013.

In fact it was the largest distance between the first and second-placed driver since last October’s Japanese GP which, needless to say, was also won by the reigning World Champion.

The German’s exclamation on his slow-down lap that “the car was absolutely amazing” certainly seemed to reflect his own enjoyment of his 70-lap masterclass, two small scares aside. Indeed, it was the first time this season that Vettel had been fully able push the limits of the RB9 without any concerns about shredding its tyres.

He certainly wasted no time in stamping his mark on the race away pole with, even by his own renowned fast-starting standards, his two-second advantage over Lewis Hamilton by the end of the opening lap was deeply impressive. Immediately lapping between four and six tenths a lap faster than the Mercedes, he increased his lead to 3.2s by lap three, 4.2s by lap five and 6.5s by lap 11. By the time of his lap-16 pitstop, Hamilton was seven seconds behind, and with the Briton running a slightly longer first stint on the supersofts, the gap had stretched to 11 seconds in the Red Bull’s favour by the time things had settled back down on lap 20.

Although soon encountering cars to lap into his second stint, Vettel was a model of fast-charging consistency. Lapping initially in the low 1:19s and then mid 1:18s, 11 of his 12 tours between laps 26 and 37 were within three tenths of each other, and with Hamilton invariably still in the 1:19s at the same stage, Vettel now had an effective earned himself a ‘free’ pitstop. Indeed, once his second and final lap-49 stop was completed with the minimum of fuss, it was a case of him just managing the car and gap to the finish and the Red Bull pitwall trying to come up with increasingly compelling ways to prevent him from going all out for the race’s fastest lap!

One fascinating detail divulged in the smallprint of Sunday’s lapcharts is the clear evidence that Fernando Alonso had as much pace as Sebastian Vettel during the second-half of the race. In fact, the Ferrari was significantly faster than the Red Bull after both cars reached the half-way stage of the race.

Whereas Vettel only lapped in the 1:16s for nine of his final 35 laps, Alonso, running a near-identical strategy, did so 16 times. Particularly in the latter stages, the Spaniard was a model of consistency, his inexorable pace advantage only interrupted on lap 62 when he lost three seconds jousting with Lewis Hamilton and then again on lap 64 when a slight mistake triggered a 1:17.9 and almost allowed the Mercedes to reclaim second.

But otherwise, Alonso was very, very quick, finishing the race 14.4 seconds behind Vettel having fallen back 26.6 seconds at the halfway stage.

The Force India driver is so convinced he was a victim of injustice in Montreal that he intends to meet with FIA Race Director Charlie Whiting at Silverstone to discuss the reasons why he was handed a drive-through penalty on lap 61. The answer should not be long in coming: according to the FIA’s own race briefing, Sutil ignored blue flags from Turn 3 to Turn 13.

To quote, as Whiting might well do, Article 20.6 of the Sporting Regulations, ‘As soon as a car is caught by another car which is about to lap it during the race the driver must allow the faster driver past at the first available opportunity. If the driver who has been caught does not allow the faster driver past, waved blue flags will be shown to indicate that he must allow the following driver to overtake.’

Probably the most remarkable thing about this year’s Canadian GP – and further evidence as to why Force India have been desperate for Pirelli to resist calls to overhaul their tyres – was Paul Di Resta’s 56-lap first stint which completely turned the Scot’s weekend around after another nightmare Q1 had left him 17th on the grid.

The all-new 2014 Corolla includes dramatically amplified elements of style, design, quality and craftsmanship, while building upon the stellar Toyota Corolla reputation for reliability, efficiency and function, making Toyota’s newest compact the most surprising and capable Corolla yet.

Corolla for the World: 47 years, 154 Countries, Built in 16 Locations, Immeasurable Impact

With nearly 40 million units sold, the Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car nameplate on the planet, and this year marks its 47th year on the market. Since the Corolla first appeared in Japan in 1966, it has played a major role in the motorization of Japan, and its global popularity has had a significant impact on transportation throughout the rest of the world.

The global scope of Corolla now finds it manufactured in 16 locations and sold in 154 countries. The Toyota Corolla’s appeal as a global car is rooted in a product philosophy set forth by Tatsuo Hasegawa, the first Corolla’s chief engineer, who sought “to develop a car that brings happiness and well-being to people around the world.”

As a result of more than 40 years on the market satisfying consumer needs, this compact car has developed into a pillar supporting Toyota’s famed reputation for quality, durability, and reliability. The Corolla, maybe more so than any other Toyota sold globally, has been the answer for consumers in the market for a reliable, efficient, and affordable compact vehicle.

In developing this new 11th generation of Corolla, Toyota designer and engineers relied on exhaustive consumer feedback to help shape key elements of the product on a global scale. Customers emphasized the overwhelming importance of vehicle design on product perception in the marketplace. The all-new 11th generation Corolla makes a much stronger design statement, with more compelling exterior and interior executions that challenge the pre-conceptions about Corolla. The next generation Corolla continues the Toyota brand’s recent momentum set forth by design-focused product launches such as Avalon and RAV4. The 2014 Corolla will remain appealing to the current consumers while helping the world’s most popular car grow in appeal with youthful car buyers.

The front view of the new Corolla reveals a continuation of the design themes seen in recent Toyota sedans such as Camry and Avalon, and it creates a sleeker, more assertive impression of a Toyota compact sedan with its more precisely sculpted surfaces.

Among the challenges presented by the new Corolla’s original design concept was the need to execute more deeply rounder corners to achieve the desired sleeker image. The thick structure of conventional headlamps would hinder the appearance of deeply rounded corners. Sleek, compact LED lamp assemblies were adopted to reduce the corner mass and help accentuate the Corolla’s tapered, rounded-corner, front- end design theme. In addition, the low heat generated by the LED lamp enabled the use of a lighter weight PES resin lens instead of conventional glass. Corolla is the first compact sedan to offer standard equipped LED headlamps.

The new Toyota Corolla’s interior continues the “Iconic Dynamism” theme to create a stylish, highly functional, and inviting interior space with a greater sense of craftsmanship in its design, use of materials, and attention to detail. A horizontally oriented dash structure helps enhance the interior’s sense of spaciousness while providing a more wide-open, intuitively functional space for interface with vehicle controls. The interior offers a premium aesthetic with its use of piano-black gloss trim highlighted by metallic ornamentation and trim that conveys an upscale yet sportier image.

Corolla’s standard gauge cluster offers three dials with sharp image detail and clear blue illumination, surrounded by chrome trimmed rings. Within the speedometer dial is a multi-information display that shows odometer, trip odometer, current fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, cruising distance and average vehicle speed. The S-grade meter cluster offers a high technology feel with a 3.5-inch black and white TFT display that rests between two large dials.

Corolla offers a broad range of wheels ranging from 15-inch wheels with covers (L and LE Eco grades), 16-inch steel wheels with covers (LE and S), 16 inch aluminum wheels (LE), a 16-inch aluminum design unique to the Eco grade and 17-inch alloy wheels unique to the S grade. The wheels help emphasize the character of each Corolla model, with the most fuel-economy-focused Corolla LE Eco wearing 15-inch wheels with covers shod in low rolling resistance 195/65R-15 rubber. At the other side of the Corolla spectrum is the sportiest grade of Corolla S that wears impactful available 17-inch alloy wheels covers in more performance oriented 215/45R-17 rubber. The 16-inch wheels used for the LE (both the steel and aluminum) and the 16-inch aluminum aero-wheel for the LE Eco model all use a 205/55R-16 tire.

The 2014 Toyota Corolla will elevate the consumer’s experience for the world’s most popular sedan with modern, expressive styling, a more premium interior experience, improved fuel economy and performance, and a strong menu of available features.

]]>
The evolution of the species, the revolution in the concept of art applied to pure speed. Pagani Automobili unveiled the final version of the Pagani Zonda Revolucion to clients and family members during Vanishing Point 2013 – The International Pagani gathering.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion is the apex of the celebration of performance, technology and art applied to a track car. Horacio Pagani and his team have created a car designed to amaze both on the track and in a car collection.

The central monocoque is carbon-titanium, the needle on the scale stops at 1070kg. The AMG Mercedes engine is an evolution of the Zonda R powerplant. The 6.0-liter V12 now develops an output of 800 hp and 730 Nm of torque, resulting in a power to weight ratio of 748 hp per tonne.

The 6 speed magnesium transversal and sequential gearbox changes gears in 20ms. The traction control developed by Bosch with 12 different settings and the renewed ABS system, allows the driver to adapt the behavior of the car to his driving style.

The Zonda R program has always represented the highest expression of the technology at Pagani Automobili. The aerodynamics feature important innovations, like new deflectors on the front bonnet, as well as a vertical stabilizer mounted on the rear bonnet.

Pagani Zonda Revolucion also features a DRS (Drag-Reduction-System) on the rear wing. The system has two different operating modes, both can be activated by the driver at any time. The manual system is controlled with the DRS button on the steering wheel. The rear wing changes between maximum and minimum downforce settings, at the occurrence of a lateral acceleration of + / – 0.8 g and a minimum speed of 100 km / h. Holding down the DRS for more than two seconds engages the DRS to work automatically according to the algorithms developed by the Pagani Automobili engineers during the development phase. The result is a car that is always fast, a strong performer able to take on any circuit in the world.

The Brembo braking system adopts new cutting edge F1-tecnology derived CCMR discs. With a weight saving of 15% compared to the previous CCM discs, the CCMR offer higher stiffness and lower operating temperatures on extreme track use. This contributes to the life of the disc which is increased by four times, with no sign of fading and a significant overall increase in braking power.

Pagani Zonda Revolucion is the ultimate experience for individuals who want to experience the thrill of an extreme track experience, in a safe and intuitive machine. Pagani Zonda Revolucion, like all creatures coming our to the Atelier in San Cesario sul Panaro, is tailor made. An object where art and science blend to create a perfect synthesis of technology, performance and aesthetics. A new masterpiece signed by Horacio Pagani.

Pagani Zonda Revolucion is on sale at a price of 2.2 million Euros plus taxes.

Horacio Pagani, Owner and chief designer of Pagani Automobili: “Limits are made to be overcome. We knew that Pagani Zonda R was already a fast car, the fastest ever on the Nuerburgring Nordschleife. We knew it would be very difficult to design and build a car that was even more extreme. But thanks to the creativity of our designers, engineers, and the whole Pagani family, we created a beautiful object and the fastest Pagani vehicle ever. A car that I am sure will electrify all our customers and fans all over the world.”

The post Aston Martin V12 Vantage S – The Fastest Aston Martin appeared first on The Car Wallpapers.

]]>
British company Aston Martin has collected the fastest production model in the brand’s history, calling novelty V12 Vantage S. Coupe can accelerate to 330 km / h and type “hundreds” in less than 4 seconds. Letter S in the name stands for a modernized 12-cylinder engine in volume of 6 liters. Its capacity has increased from 517 to 573 hp The torque is now 620 Nm In addition, V12 Vantage S has a new 7-step “robot» Graziano.

Less than a month after rumors started circulating that Aston Martin would kill its V12 Vantage sports car, the British automaker has stunned us with a new version that is even more powerful than before.

As the name implies, the 2015 V12 Vantage S has a high-revving V12 engine, just as its predecessor did. Only this time, it is a new one with lots more power. The engine gains 55 horsepower and 37 foot-pounds of torque for a total output of 565 hp and 457 lb-ft.

With such a monstrous engine crammed into a small, two-seater body, the V12 Vantage S is perhaps the company’s most extreme production car. Aston Martin says this will be its fastest road car ever, excluding the ultra-rare, million-dollar One-77. Top speed is 205 miles per hour. No word yet on acceleration times.

Aston Martin’s latest concoction proves that concerns over the demise of sports cars—even ones with old-school, fuel-chugging engines—could be premature. Like fellow British luxury automaker Bentley, Aston Martin remains one of the last bastions of unbridled automotive excess, though it did just announce a hydrogen-powered prototype Rapide S, which you can read about here.

The small company is, however, making incremental improvements with each new car to not only boost performance, but also efficiency. For example, the new V12 Vantage S will drop up to 50 pounds compared to the car it replaces, an Aston Martin spokesman said.

The weight savings come from lighter components, such as a more compact exhaust system derived from the One-77, and a new seven-speed paddle-shift transmission.

This gearbox brings some controversy, though—at least for auto enthusiasts. It will be the only transmission offered, which means the V12 Vantage S joins the new Porsche 911 GT3 among the growing ranks of sports cars no longer offering a traditional stick shift. The purists are no doubt in mourning.

On the upside, the new transmission enables quicker gear shifts and creates a closer link between the V12 Vantage S and Aston Martin’s GT3, GT4 and GTE race cars, which use similar technology.

A new suspension system with three settings—normal, sport and track—debuts on the 2015 V12 Vantage S. The settings not only firm up the ride, but also sharpen the steering, throttle and transmission response, as well as amplify the sonorous exhaust sound.

Looks-wise, the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S doesn’t change much from the model it replaces. One noteworthy design element is a new carbon-fiber front grille inspired by the one on the recently unveiled CC100 Speedster Concept, which you can read about here. Special wheels and a black roof are among other minor trim changes. The interior gets new seats and subtle updates, such as revised stitching in the high-grade leather.

Aston Martin is already taking pre-orders for the 2015 V12 Vantage S. Deliveries begin in January. Official pricing is to be determined, but it should come in just under $200,000, the spokesman said.

Produces hydrogen during vehicle operation through electrolysis of water using the power generated from the vehicles electrical system. A small amount of hydrogen added to the vehicles intake air/fuel mixture allows the engine to operate with less fossil fuel. Ronn Motor Company will use this technology in its revolutionary Scorpion to achieve lower emissions and vastly improved fuel economy.

There are two main kinds of Hydrogen Hybrid automobile. These are fuel cell vehicles and Hydrogen internal combustion engines, (HICE) like our first automobile “The Scorpion”. Fuel cell vehicles are electric cars. Hydrogen is pumped into a tank in the car, just as gasoline. The hydrogen gas is then fed into the fuel cell where it is electrochemically converted into electricity–with no combustion, no moving parts and no emissions other than water vapor. The electricity is used to power the vehicle.

Hydrogen ICE vehicles use a regular combustion engine modified to use gaseous hydrogen instead of liquid gasoline (much like a natural gas vehicle is modified). They burn hydrogen or a combination of gasoline and hydrogen, but since there is no carbon in hydrogen, there are no or almost no CO2 emissions and only trace amounts of NOx (oxides of nitrogen). Hydrogen ICE vehicles are typically about 30-50% more efficient than comparable gasoline vehicles.

While the technology has been around for awhile, advances in technology have made it possible to produce hydrogen on board, on demand as needed. We have a strategic partnership with www.hydrorunner.com, which has allowed Ronn Motor Company to bring to market quickly, a premium exotic automobile, that is a perfect first step to a solution of the problems, facing the automobile industry as it enters into this transitional phase.

The post Rossion Q1 appeared first on The Car Wallpapers.

]]>
Rossion Q1 is the result of the lessons learned in extensive testing, sale, and support of hundreds of Noble vehicles sold in the USA. It is a logical development of its predecessor. Every subtle performance change and design nuance was carefully implemented to make the car more comfortable and inviting, while further improving overall performance.

The most striking new element in the Q1 is completely redesigned bodywork. The new beautifully proportioned shape gives the Rossion a sultry, aggressive look while further enhancing performance aspects. The revised panels retain the autoclaved composite construction, delivering superb surface finish and precise panel fit.

World class design and CAD modeling have been employed in the creation of the new body. Rather than change design for the sake of change, the driving force behind the new bodywork is air flow management. The result is a clean aerodynamic profile, efficient engine compartment airflow, and improved aerodynamic down force.

At the front, the reshaped nose directs high energy air down the sides of the body into the newly contoured side intakes. These new ducts are 30% larger than previous air scoops, ensuring adequate airflow for critical engine components. Turbulence around the side windows is also reduced for a more comfortable cockpit with the new, fully retractable side glass.

New charge air cooler intakes have been integrated into the body shape, with cool ram air gathered through new side window (B pillar) ducts. Again, aerodynamics is improved, while benefits are reaped in the form of increased power and efficiency.

In the rear, a more efficient diffuser enhances down force on the chassis, improving high speed grip and stability.

Further enhancements include new, longer
power side windows that fully retract into the doors while the side view mirrors feature remote electric adjustment.

Interior:
The cockpit has been significantly upgraded, while maintaining the true, unfettered purpose of a sports car. In a high-performance road car, the interior is a careful blend of form and function. All controls have to be available and easy to manipulate. Yet the cabin must also be a comfortable and pleasing environment, intuitive in layout and free of meddling distractions.

To further enhance the driving experience, the instrument panel has been redesigned. The new instrument panel now places all of the important gauges in front of the driver. For storage of small items, a glove box has also been included.

The dash center console now carries new, easy to adjust electric HVAC controls, and is wired to accept the latest in audio/navigation systems within easy reach of the driver.

Every piece of the Q1 cockpit has been revised to improve the overall appearance and feel of the machine. From the feel of the new leather covered steering wheel, to the supportive lightweight seats, the Q1 exhibits a truly world class fit and finish.

Interior finishes include combinations of leather, alcantara, aluminum and carbon fiber, in tasteful color combinations, finished in a unique Rossion stitch pattern.

Chassis:
Beneath the voluptuous new coachwork remains the pure, unalloyed heart and soul of Lee Nobles incredible chassis.

The Rossion Q1 retains the same rigid tubular space frame, integrated roll cage and suspension components that give the Rossion its legendary feel, road-holding grip and performance.

The premium dampers and springs remain, as do the massive AP racing brakes.

If you fancy taking your Rossion to the track, you will need no modifications. The brakes, suspension components and geometry are optimized for best performance.

Engine (Suggested Drivetrain):
Though power is still suggested by the twin turbo charged Ford Duratec V6 engine, this lightweight engine is now controlled by a more powerful engine management system. An improved, low restriction exhaust system is also supplied with Rossion Q1 chassis, increasing the available horsepower for the suggested drivetrain to a pavement blistering 450 horsepower with more than 400 lb. ft. torque.

Performance:
The performance is truly mind-boggling. With 0-60 mph times in 3.3 seconds, standing mile in 11.4 seconds at 120 mph with the ability to circulate the skid pad at over 1.1 G on its standard equipment tires, the new Q1 offers vicious performance and easily puts the supercar in the ranks of the quickest road cars available, at any price.

But performance is only part of the appeal of the Rossion. It is the extraordinary feel behind the wheel and how the Rossion couples the truly exciting classic principals of driving with modern day technology. Only 37 Ferrari F12 Berlinettas have been registered in Germany, yet one owner doesn’t feel his ride is exclusive enough.

Turning to car wrapping specialist Cam Shaft to make his Prancing Horse stand out from the stable, this particular F12 was treated to a foil wrap of Titanium Matt Metallic including all visible edges and door sills to eliminate any trace of the original color. To complement the wrap, Cam Shaft coated the original rims in matt metallic grey.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta is a brand new car, the most powerful one they’ve ever put into mass production. But there is one problem with that. Many people will buy the car without ever being about to physically see it in their desired color right before their eyes.

There’s a quick fix for that problem, and Cam-Shaft is more than willing to wrap the F12 in any and every color you’d like!

Wrapping is a tricky business, made even more so when the shape of the car is so complicated. But even though some of them might wear their caps back to front when tuning a Clio, we still trust them to do a good job on the Ferrari.

This particular example of the Italian supercar has been covered in a shade of matte gunmetal. The price? Just €2,900 for the whole car plus another €700 if you want the door sills and edges too… which you do. You can also have all four wheels powder coated in the same color as the body for an additional €700. Even though that might sound like a lot, it’s far less than a set of tires or a servicing visit.

It is no secret that one of the most attractive cars around the globe is the Chevrolet Camaro. Being a true muscle car, it grabs the attention immediately thanks to its powerful stance, exuberance and aggressive attributes.

Surely, the red color further emphasizes all this attractiveness and brings forth emotions and wishes for an instant touch with this Chevrolet. This is the case with the latest project of the specialists at D2Forged Wheels, who have equipped this Camaro SS with brand new set of shoes.

They have added to this incredible sports car their D2Forged Monoblock Wheels which features a clean and imposing wheel design, deliver fitment and has an inherent build quality.

To be more precise, the sizes of the wheels they have chosen are 20×10 inches for the front and 20×12 inches for the rear. In addition, the wheels include Brilliant Brushed Cleared finish with Chrome Lips.

Although no enhancement in terms of power has been done on this Chevy, it is still capable of delivering the spectacular 426 horsepower (313 kW) and a maximum torque of 567 Nm (419 lb-ft). These numbers are due to the 6.2L V8 engine it is equip with.

The Vmax here is estimated at 250 km/h and the acceleration time for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h – at 4.7 seconds.

F1 Crashes – Rarely does a race in the principality go by without a safety car being deployed or a barrier remain untouched.

Few circuits around the world challenge F1 drivers more than the narrow streets of Monte Carlo as they push their car to the limits, edging them to within millimeters of the barriers to gain another tenth of a second over their rivals.

But it doesn’t always work out well, something several of the world’s best racers have experience of, as the margins between making a turn and causing thousands of pounds of damage become blurred.

As these videos show, it only takes a moment’s distraction or car failure to end a race with a trip into the barriers.
